Do you suffer from GAD (Google Adsense Disorder), where you have to check the
rolling dollars on your AdSense account every 5 stinking minutes? Can't wait to
see that number flip from 14 cents to 17 cents? Allen G. Hollman may have saved
your obsessive vision by open sourcing Adsense Notifier for Firefox.
This nifty little Firefox extension
keeps a running tally of your Adsense account on the status bar or in a separate
tab. Developed in his spare time, Hollman eventually orchestrated the extension
to work on Windows as well as OS X.
GADflies are given the choice of how to sort the time frame of their earnings
as well, sorting by today's earnings, the past week's earnings, and the current
month's earnings.
Users could choose on how to sort the earnings, Today, This Month, Last 7 Days,
or my favorite, All time (cause my monthly earnings are too little to be excited
about).
For most of us, installing the Notifier to Firefox will keep us from that "you're
kidding yourself" build-up during the log-in phase of checking your account. For
those of you lucky enough to be generating 10 or 15 thousand page views daily,
you can enjoy your self Scrooge McDuck style as the constant cha-ching tickles
your insides.
